About me
I am Matthys Gerhardus Pretorius, presently in matric.
I am a spontanious young adult that enjoys life.
Most people want to go to sleep to dream, but I want to wake up to continue living my dream.
As a very young boy I was very interrested in electronics. I made my first torch at the age three. I was always experimenting with things that could blow up or make loud noises. I also loved playing with lego's and built structures.
During my primary school years I was active in sports as well as music. I played rugby and participated in athletics, especially long jump, high jump and running long distances. I played the recorder, drums, piano and guitar.
In Hoerskool Waterkloof I also participated in sports and music. I played hockey for the 2nd team, did archery and athletics. I also attended the athletics camps for three consecutive years. I did robotics FLL and WRO compititions with my team mates. We came through to the SA Finals. I played in the school orchestra for three years, we won the SA Nationals for 10 years. I play the cello. I also play in PYPO ( Pretoria Youth Philharmonic Orchestra). I have been with them for the last three years. I was very fortunate to attend a cello summer school in Italy during 2014 and this year. It was such a great oppertunity and I really learned a lot. Accidemically I achieve well: In 2013 I was the best electronic student in the school and in music as well. I recieved the trophy for the best string player.
I have a passion for music. I play the ukelele and cello. After matriculating I am going to do a Christian gap year, VGY ( Victory Gap Year) in Jefferies Bay. After the gap year I want to study electrical engenering.
